Basketmaker style flint blade knife C1610
Basketmaker style knife C1610, with flint blade, juniper handle, deer tendon ligatures and tanned deer hide case.
A thermal treatment gave the colour of this flint blade coming from Touraine (France). The handle is in Juniper. The whole is assembled with prehistoric glue and a deer tendon ligature coated with tendon glue. A small skin strap is attached to it. I put a lot of care into the patina of this piece.
Anita made the case. It is made of tanned deer hide, embellished with two pearls.
At the back a link allows to hang it on the belt. A deer hide strap can be added as an option on request to wear it around the neck or as a shoulder strap.
