Basketmaker style knife C1611 , with obsidian blade, yew handle, deer tendon ligatures and fringed case in tanned deer hide.
The blade of this knife is obsidian from America.
The handle is in If. There is no patina for this piece, so the shape and lustre of the blade is reflected in the handle.
The set is held by prehistoric glue and a deer tendon ligature coated with tendon glue.
Anita made the case in tanned deer hide with beads and fringes to stay in the Amerindian style of the Basketmakers.
At the back a link allows to hang it on the belt. A deer hide strap can be added as an option on request to wear it around the neck or as a shoulder strap.
