Flint blade knife C1608
Knife C1608, with heated flint blade, bear jaw handle, deer tendon ligatures and fringed case (tanned deerskin fringe) in rawhide.
I made this piece with a very beautiful and imposing bear jaw from the USA.
The blade is made of heat-treated flint and measures more than 20 cm.
On the patinated jaw, I engraved a cave bear straight out of Chauvet Cave.
On the other side, I engraved a hand like the one found in parietal art. A braided deerskin strap and a bone bead are attached to it.
The ligatures are made with deer tendon coated with skin glue.
The franged case in Amerindian style is made with deer rawhide.
The fringes are made of tanned deer hide.
The patina of this piece delivers us an ancestral knife that may have belonged to a hunter-gatherer, carrying the totem animal of the bear clan.
A strap allows to wear it on the belt. An optional deerskin strap can be added to wear around the neck or as a shoulder strap.
We do not deliver this piece outside of France
